Methodology Synchronise follows a proven and effective development methodology when working. Our years of experience in web development has helped us create a process that produces quality sites that do what you want. We don't let ourselves get bound into rigidity though. Project Brief In this phase, we take the time to understand the client, the business, their objectives, target market, and selling point. We will analyse the existing promotional material, or existing website if they have one. We suggest features and ideas for the user to achieve their desired outcomes. We then produce a project brief, outlining ideas, suggestions, content layout and information architecture. The brief also includes a quotation of price, a timeline, and an indication of the final deliverable product. Pre-Design Phase This stage is the most vital, as foundations are laid in this phase. We begin the creation of prototypes here. These prototypes may be broken down into smaller sections depending on the scope of the product. Navigation, look and feel, and basic information structuring of the final product are shaped in this phase. We make sure that the target market will enticed, and that the competitive advantage of your business is clear. The image of the final site is fine-tuned. Synchronise will have screen mockups, and a shell of the final product at this point. Production Phase At this point, we add in the information and content into the shell. These includes the images, icons, and graphic elements that is not part of the shell. Text is also added in here. Minor refinements and optimisations are typically conducted. Once the shell has been filled, we begin the technical work. We structure and add in “behind the scenes” technical features, such as allowing for screen-readers for the blind. We optimise and streamline each aspect of the site, including the code for the different hardware configurations. Technical and user testing is performed at the end of this stage. Marketing Phase With the content completed, we begin to add in marketing components, such as meta tags into the product. Final detailed testing is also performed as part of this testing to ensure that all errors are caught and ironed out. Then we begin external processes. With the site online, we begin search engine submissions, directories submissions, and the other things. Post-Production The site is declared full online and operational. We train the user in the basics of administrating and updating of the website and email functions as and if required. We then move into a maintenance state, where fine tuning occurs as required.
